Northampton Jazz Workshop features saxophonist Fred Haas Tuesday, October 10th, 7:30 to 8:30PM followed by an open jazz jam until 10:30 PM at the The City Sports Grille at Spare Time Northampton, 525 Pleasant St., Northampton.

Fred Haas has performed with the likes of Oscar Peterson, Ray Charles, Pat Metheny, Clark Terry, Milt Jackson, Joe Morello, Don Cherry, Karrin Allyson, Matt Wilson, Gene Bertoncini, John Proulx and many others. Jazz guitarist Pat Metheny calls Fred Haas "a totally world-class saxophone player." Jazz trumpet legend Clark Terry said, "You won't find a more capable jazz player and teacher than Fred Haas, and that's a fact!"
I hope you can join us and give Fred a great Northampton welcome. Also, a reminder to musicians wanting to sit it, if you come towards the end of the concert set and are planning on playing you will not be charged the $5 room charge; that is only for seating during the concert set. The jam session is an important component of the Workshop experience and I encourage musicians to hear (and be heard), meet and play with all these great players that we have coming through each week. Please spread the word to other musicians.
