Joyce's Bio http://www.joyce spencermusic.com/ Joyce was reared in a small town with limited resources to study music; however, it did not discourage her passion. She started playing clarinet in middle school, but grew very fond of the tenor saxophone in the 12th grade. Later, she added the alto sax and flute in college where she majored in instrumental music education. After an approximate 20-year hiatus, Joyce returned to her love and passion for music and released her first CD, “Sweet Dreams”, in 2010.   The CD is a collection of instrumental (alto/soprano sax and flute) and vocal music created to calm, soothe, and bring healing to your soul. Her music has been labeled Inspirational Jazz, Smooth Jazz, and Smooth/Contemporary Gospel, but she plays all styles. CHARLES LANGFORD RELEASES Charles Langford has been writing music since his teenage years. This Springfield, Massachusetts jazz man does it all...tenor, alto, soprano sax, clarinet and flute. Mr. Langford came to the Northeast United States after attending the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and the New School for Social Research in New York City.  He studied composition and teaching with Billy Harper, Donald Byrd , and Barry Harris , among others.  Prior to that, Mr. Langford studied with Archie Shepp and Yusef Latef . Since then, Charles Langford has become one of the Boston area's top A-list players.  He's played with artists ranging from The Toni Lynn Washington Blues Band to The Temptations and Mighty Sam McClain .
